BRASS/PERCUSSION OPENINGS

The Chesapeake Brass Band is seeking accomplished brass and percussion musicians over the age of 18 who are interested in unique, fulfilling and serious performance opportunities.

 

Founded in 1996, the CBB is an all-volunteer 35-piece, British-style Brass Band located in northern Delaware. The band has received national attention winning awards at the North American Brass Band Championships and been invited multiple times to perform at the national convention of The Association of Concert Bands.

 

The band is composed of top amateur and professional players from Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at the Cab Calloway School in Wilmington or occasionally at the University of Delaware. The band does 12 -15 concerts annually and on alternate years competes in the North American Brass Band Championships. Members are expected to participate in a minimum of 80% of all rehearsals and performances.

Opportunities exist for all instruments, but the band has immediate need for a solo tenor horn (alto horn). An instrument is available.
